Never give out your password!!!! That is the number one rule to staying safe.
Do not let anyone petsit for you. They could steal your account. Neopets staff will NEVER ask for your password so don't
give it out for any reason!
There are NO SECRETS to making NP fast! A lot of people will ask you for an
expensive item for this "secret" they supposedly have. No matter how good it sounds, it is not true. Neopets claims
that no one has ever hacked their system so there are no quick tricks.
Look out for a fake login page. I was hacked by this. Sometimes when you
try to buy something from someone's shop, it will redirect you to a sign-in page that looks just like the one on Neopets.
Before you enter the info, check the URL at the top and make sure it is a neopets page. More than likely, it is not.
Trading post scams:
I spend a lot of time on the trading post and I get really tired of the scams.
I'll try to keep you up to date on the ones I see.
Fish eggs DO NOT turn into fish neggs!
A starberry does NOT paint your pet starry.
A lucky die will NOT help you win at Dice-a-roo. It is a toy.
A lot of people claim to be giving their account away for an expensive item.
If they were actually giving their account away, why would they need an expensive item? This is a very popular scam
and you do this at your own risk. Neopets will not reimburse you for items that were scammed.
One of the newest scams is becoming popular fast! People will post items on
the trading post and tell you to look at their user info for a "BIG SECRET!" When you go to the user info page, it gives you
this big spiel about knowing what it feels like to be hacked and they just want to help..blah..blah..blah. They ask for an
expensive item and they will neomail you a secret. Well, I sent one of them a scratch card just so I could post
what he said here. This is the actual neomessage from neomonster22so you can see his "Big Secret!" lol
"ok this is really easy - go to my user info, copy and paste it into your user info and shop.
then go to the trading post and put somthing up for trade and tell them you have a secret. its that easy! the
more you do it the more people will ask you about it - and you tell them what i told you. easy huh?
then go to the trading post DO DIS MANY MANY MANY MANY TIMES!!! "
Some secret, huh? lol Just be careful out there and if you ever have doubt,
ask a neofriend before you do it.
